prolific writer, historian, poet & philosopher Veer Vinayak Damodar
Savarkar, who occupies a unique place in the history of Indian
freedom struggle.
 Vir Savarkar also coined Indian words for
telephone, photography, the parliament, among others.
Port Blair Airport which is the main airport of the Andaman and
Nicobar Islands is named after this Great Indian freedom fighter as
Veer Savarkar International

बरेचजण त्यांपैकी परी मातृप्रेमास मुकले 

एक असा विनायक त्यांपैकी जे देशप्रेमी ठरले 

राष्ट्राला समर्थ करण्यासाठी कटिबद्ध जाहले 

क्रांतीज्योत पेटविण्या पुस्तकातुनी पिस्तूल पाठविले 

धूर्त अशा आंग्लांच्या नजरेतुनी नच सुटले

शरीर जर्जर झाले तरी मन उबाळे नच झाले 

युध्द सुरुहोता तरुणांस भरती होण्या .सुचविले 

भारत उद्याचा समर्थ व्हावा या एकाच उद्देशाने 

शिक्षा संपुनी घरी परतता स्वस्थ नाही बसविले

पतित पावन मंदिर बांधले,जातीभेद मिटविले

राजकारणाची एक खेळी अशी ,क्षम एक राष्ट्र त्या विसरले

राष्ट्रप्रेम तरीही त्यांचे मुली न ओसरले 

आज तयांच्या puNyatitithilaa पुन्हा स्मरू तयांना

दिव्या भव्य त्या राष्ट्रभक्तीला देउ मानवंदना
